Volunteers work to improve their community, enhancing quality of life in their neighborhoods and cities.

Wikipedia explains volunteering as “generally considered an altruistic activity and is intended to promote goodness or improve human quality of life. In return, this activity can produce a feeling of self- worth and respect. There is no financial gain involved for the individual. Volunteering is also renowned for skill development, socialization and fun. It is also intended to make contacts for possible employment. Many volunteers are specifically trained in the areas they work, such as medicine education, or emergency rescue. Others serve on an as-needed basis”.

Volunteers have always been a key component to the success of the Hyack Festival Association, since its inception. Each year we recognize a volunteer who has exemplified the spirit of what is means to be a volunteer. This year it was to our float driver, who volunteered hours to deliver our float to our many parades.

Our volunteers are involved in the many aspects of Hyack, including the Hyack International Parade, the Antique Fair, and Uptown Fest! as well as helping in the office and in the many other Hyack activities and programs. Hyack has always had a strong core of volunteers.

This year, we are focusing on attracting new, young energetic volunteers to strengthen and grow our organization and our community.

Hello, I hope that I'm posting in the right forum. So my mates and i are attending a big festival in summer. We have a setup that sounds like this: Amplifier - Pioneer GM-D8604 Speakers - Behringer B212XL Subwoofer - Behringer VP1800S It plays really well and we have tried it out already but we would love it to play even louder without the whole thing breaking apart. Any advice on what we need to upgrade. We plan to keep the subwoofer and the whole system has to run off car batteries. Please help I didn't find the right solution from the internet. Hello, Brewed this as per instructions after reading all the rave reviews, now bottled 7 days now and I sneaked a taster from one of the 'quality control' 250ml bottles. Now I love a hoppy ale as much as the next man but this stuff is unpleasantly so and very bitter, and citrusy bordering on pithy. It was dry hopped with the pelleted hops on day 7 and took a further 14 days to get down to 1010. My question is, will this mellow with bottle age? Has anyone done this kit and can advise how long to condition for? Please help I didn't find the right solution from the internet. Hi, If there was a way to help people with low self-esteem, would you be interested in learning more about it? Highly successful people always have high self-esteem so that they can take big decisions in their life. Yes, it is true that we can’t make others have positive feelings about themselves. This doesn’t mean that we can’t help them in any way. What we can do is that we can provide assist and motivation to them in order to make them feel better about themselves.
