Words to live by

by Isha Sandhu

If others don’t utilize their energy to put an effort in your relationship, maybe it’s a relationship that’s not worth keeping.”

Isha’s favourite TV show is Supernatural and her favourite movie is The Disaster Artist.  Her favourite song is “ Na Calada” by Kryone and her favourite book is All the Light We Can Not See by Anthony Doerr.  She is inspired by her mother, Raman, because she taught Isha how to be strong even during the toughest of times yet also how to be graceful and professional.  Her most treasured keepsakes are her baby/school pictures because she loves going back and reminiscing about the past.

Isha’s favourite thing to do in the Royal City, besides the Hyack Festival, is go on walks through the many parks we have on rainy days.  Isha’s proudest moment in her life so far is when she participated in Peter Sklar’s acting Broadway seminars and performed off-Broadway for a group of highly successful actors/directors.  If Isha could trade places with anyone it would be Jimmy Fallon of the Tonight Show because his job consists of meeting and conversing with many influential people.  He learns so much everyday all the while making others smile.

Stay Connected

We recognize and respect that New Westminster is on the unceded and unsurrendered land of the Halkomelem speaking peoples. We acknowledge that colonialism has made invisible their histories and connections to the land. As a City, we are learning and building relationships with the people whose lands we are on.
