SIERRA PITKIN
Sierra is the daughter of Tracy and Bryan Pitkin and the older sister of Ella and Daven Pitkin. She has been part of the Cariboo Hill theatre Company and loves it immensely. Sierra has also received awards for “Best Actress” in a web series and an award for SFX (special effects) make-up. She also enjoys doing her own special effects make-up, which she has been doing since she was 15 years old. In her spare time, Sierra likes to play the ukulele and write monologues. After graduation, she plans to go to Vancouver Film School to study SFX (special effects) make-up.

Sierra’s favourite TV show is Black Mirror and her favourite movie is The Edge of Seventeen. Her favourite song is “Hypocrates” by Marina and the Diamonds and her favourite book is HomoDeus, A Brief History of Tomorrow by Yuval Noah Harari. She is inspired by the Soska Sisters because they were both really passionate about writing screenplays and SFX (special effects) make-up so they just went and wrote and directed their own movie, American Mary, winning awards for Best Screen Play, Best Make-up and Best Directors. Sierra’s most treasured keepsake is her first stuffed animal she got which was a small bean bag frog.
Sierra’s favourite thing to do in the Royal City, besides the Hyack Festival, is to hang out at the Quay with friends, just talking and enjoying the beautiful view. Her proudest moment in her life so far was winning Best Actress in the Toronto Web Fest for Young and Reckless. If Sierra could trade places with anyone it would be Leonardo Di Caprio because besides the fact that he is an amazing actor he is also an extremely valued environmentalist, which she admires him greatly for. Sierra believes she would make a good Hyack Ambassador because she is a very committed and positive person that will always offer to help others.
