Community Parades

For over 50 years, the Hyack Festival Association has proudly represented the City of New Westminster in parades throughout British Columbia and beyond. Since 1971, our iconic Hyack Festival Float has been a beloved symbol of our community, traveling far and wide to spread the spirit of New Westminster.

Each year, our elected president chooses a unique theme, and our dedicated volunteers transform the float to bring that vision to life. This tradition not only showcases our city's creativity but also strengthens our connections with other communities.
