Janel Falbo

Janel is the daughter of Lisa and Frank Falbo. She is an active and involved Grade 12 student at New Westminster Secondary School, participates in the Best Buddies and dance programs.

​

Janel is also an executive member of her school's BCSPCA club. With her passion for helping animals, she is considering studying veterinary science after graduating from high school. Her other interests include studying medicine, in hopes of becoming a plastic surgeon or nurse.

​

Janel is inspired by her friends because they’re such great people, being kind, smart and funny.

​

Her proudest moment in her life so far has been successfully applying for her first job.

​

Other than Hyack week, what Janel is most proud of in the Royal City is the beautiful heritage homes and its natural beauty with many parks. Janel thanks her parents for giving her the opportunity to grow up in such a nice place.

​

When asked what historic event she would have liked to witness or be a part of, Janel said when women were granted the right to vote.

​

To anonymously brighten someone’s day, she would pay for the meal of the person behind her in a drive through.

​

Janel says three qualities she finds important are punctuality, helpfulness and kindness. She hopes to bring these values to her role as a Hyack Ambassador.
