A star of a Parade Marshal
New Westminster native, Graham Wardle, star of CBC’s, Heartland, will be this year’s honourary parade marshall for the 48th annual Hyack International Parade.
A 2004 NWSS graduate, Graham was a captain and starting player for the re-instated Hyack Football program in 2003 and is a proud supporter of Hyack Football to this day. He attended Capilano University’s Motion Picture and Production Program where he wrote and directed his first film, “The Baguette Thief.”
Graham worked on various TV series; The X-Files, The Addams Family, Supernatural and independent films before landing the lead role of Ty Borden, on the CBC pilot project, Heartland, in 2007.
Today, he continues to portray Ty Borden in the award-winning TV series, Heartland. Now, in its 13th season, it is CBC’s longest-running hour-long family drama, is shown worldwide and can be seen locally Sundays at 7 pm.
Graham was recently one of the top three finalists in the Canadian Screen Awards for the Cogeco Fund Audience Choice Award for his outstanding work on Heartland.
